International Limousin Congress – Argentina 2014

The Argentine Limousin Breeders’ Association will host the XXI International Congress of the breed on November 2-9, 2014. Argentina was selected as host country for this significant event during the symposium held by the International Limousin Council in Mexico, 2010.

We started working on this relevant challenge early in 2011. It will give us the chance to show our visitors from abroad our Argentine Limousin and the production of our superb farms in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fé and Córdoba.

Among other activities, we will visit rearing farms in the Salado River Basin, wintering farms in the western region of the province of Buenos Aires and the south of Santa Fé, the Cattle Market in Liniers (BA), feedlots and traditional pure breed establishments.

Lectures on technical issues will be delivered on November 5 in the city of Rosario, Santa Fé. Foreign and local speakers will present state of the art developments in genetics and Limousin production in Argentina and around the world.

Near the end of the Congress, we shall visit Jesús María where the National Limousin Show will be held in the premises of the Rural Society of that time-honoured town in northern Córdoba.

We are expecting over 150 cattle producers from Europe, Latin America, USA, Canada, Australia, among other countries.
